Visa
Canadian citizens do not require visa to travel to the Czech Republic for tourist purposes. As of May 1st, 2004, holders of valid Canadian passport can enter the Czech Republic for visits up to 90 days. During such a visit, Canadian tourists are prohibited from engaging in any kind of defrayeable employment. Passports must be valid for at least three months beyond the scheduled date of departure from the Czech Republic. For stays longer than 30 days, please ensure that you register with the local Foreigners Police Authority.
Please note however that the Law No. 326/1999 Coll., On the Stay of Foreigners, imposes in Para 5 letter a) to the foreigner crossing the border of the Czech Republic the obligation to submit, upon request of the customs officer, relevant documents confirming the pre-arranged accommodation, health insurance and financial funds sufficient for the period of stay envisaged. Person unable to comply with the requirements stated in the provision of the law mentioned above may be withheld from the entry of the country.
