The new Signature restaurant not far from Brno will delight you with its interesting design and also its excellent cuisine created by a Chef who has cooked for Hollywood stars.
Signature is the name of a new restaurant that has appeared on the D1 motorway not far from Brno. Friends of many years and natives of Moravia, Jiří Lešikar and Lumír Sendrei decided to improve the gastronomic reputation of the busiest motorway in the Czech Republic, connecting Brno and Prague.
Pavel Veltruský, a cook with experience in cooking for Hollywood stars, accepted the position of Chef.
“I set up my menu according to the season and try to please more conservative guests with, for example, rabbit forcemeat made according to granny’s recipe, as well as more demanding guests, for example, with grilled foie gras,” said the Chef in an interview for a Czech design magazine.
Wine aficionados will be happy with the Champagne wine cellar, with 160 different labels, and many people will be enchanted by the design of the interior. The restaurant, which has moss growing over it in some places, was designed by architect Pavel Kříž. All the beverage glasses were blown to order in the Czech Crystalex company. Trays, which rarely have the same colour on a table, were made at the near-by pottery workshop.
