The flight schedule of the new Czech Airlines connection between Gothenburg and Hamburg on working days is defined to suit the prevalent flow of passengers, mainly business travellers and tourists heading for one-day visits or shopping to the North German city. Departures from Gothenburg to Hamburg are planned in the early morning, with return flights on the same day in the evening. The weekend schedule will allow Swedish tourists to spend two intensive days in Hamburg, with flights departing from Gothenburg on Saturday morning and returning on Sunday evening.
The first Czech Airlines flight from Gothenburg to Hamburg will take off on 16 September 2014, and will depart from Gothenburg-Landvetter airport every day except Sunday at 7:15, arriving in Germany’s largest Hanseatic city at 8:50. Czech Airlines will be despatching the return flights from Hamburg every day except Saturday at 19:40, arriving in Gothenburg at 21:10. The flight between both cities takes one hour and 35 minutes. The same schedule for Czech Airlines flights between Gothenburg and Hamburg will apply in the forthcoming winter 2014/2015 season.
“There are no direct flights between Gothenburg and Hamburg, although there is potential and demand for this service on both the Swedish and German markets. This is why, based on thorough business analyses, we have decided to add a new flight between Gothenburg and Hamburg to our flight schedule. Because the existing link from Hamburg to Prague connects to these flights, we will also be able to offer another new product on the Swedish market – connections between Gothenburg and Prague with a stopover in Hamburg,” says Jozef Sinčák, Vice Chairman of the Board of Czech Airlines responsible for sales and marketing
Regular Czech Airlines flights from Hamburg to Prague connect to the flights from Gothenburg to Hamburg. This means passengers heading from Sweden to Prague will not have to exit the aircraft during the stopover in Hamburg. In just 25 minutes, during which the departing passengers and new clients including baggage and cargo are cleared, the flight will continue on its second leg from Hamburg to Prague. This regular connection arrives in Prague at 10:50, and departures are scheduled at 17:40.
Czech Airlines will apply a one-way tariff structure for flights to Gothenburg, like the one already applied to connections between Stockholm and Prague. As a result, passengers can easily and conveniently combine one-way tickets without having to return to their arrival destination.
Flights to Gothenburg can be purchased starting today at all Czech Airlines distribution points and those of its partners, i.e. on the company website at www.czechairlines.se, at the Contact Centre, at the office of GSA (Czech Airlines partner), from Discover the World, and through the network of tour operators, travel agencies and ticket agents.
