Over the course of three days, the representatives of Czech regions, spas, hotels, and DMCs had dozens of meetings with local buyers.
From 5 to 7 November, the Czech Republic presented itself at the unique event entitled ‘Nordic Roadshow: Discover the Czech Republic’. In addition to B2B workshops in Copenhagen and Helsinki, roadshow participants also had the opportunity to present themselves at the Travel News Market in Sweden.
Czech participants expressed a great deal of interest in the roadshow, resulting in a total of 12 companies who signed up – Prague Convention Bureau, Central Moravia – Tourism Association, RegioJet, Active Point Děčín, Mariánské Lázně Ensana Health Spa Hotels, Spa Resort Tree of Life in Lázně Bělohrad, Spa Teplice, Orea Hotels & Resorts, CPI Hotels, Mondial Prague, Kompas Network, and CoDan Agentura.
‘Czech companies’ interest in participating in the roadshow was record-breaking: it was triple that of the 2016 V4 Roadshow. Moreover, the services and perspectives on offer were so diverse that we managed to introduce the Czech Republic from various points of view – spas, MICE, active holiday, sustainable tourism, and so on,’ says Lucie Vallin, the general manager of CzechTourism Scandinavia and Finland.
The Nordic Roadshow started in Copenhagen on 5 November with a B2B workshop for more than 30 local buyers at the Ottillia Hotel. On the following day, the events continued at the Czech Embassy in Helsinki and concluded at the Travel News Market in Stockholm on 7 November, with two accompanying seminars.
The first talk was presented by Hana Krausová, an executive at the Czech Amazing Places Company, who addressed the current situation in the hospitality industry in the Czech Republic 30 years after the fall of communism. The second seminar was presented by the authors of the largest Swedish travel blog, Freedomtravel: Peter and Helena Bergtstroms. They have participated in the promotion of the Czech Republic several times. This time, their seminar focused on discovering the hidden beauties of the Czech Republic.
