Protective public health measures are still necessary in order to prevent community spreading of the virus during the autumn months.
Entry into the territory of the Czech Republic is limited to necessary and justified cases only.
Measures valid from October 28
Going out between 9 pm and 5 am is banned with the exception of traveling to work, to the doctor, and home. Delivery services may continue to operate.
Retail shops must be closed on Sundays completely, on weekdays and Saturdays between 8 pm to 5 am. Exceptions are petrol stations, pharmacies, airport and railway station shops, shops in medical facilities, and restaurants operating in the form of delivery services. Selling food via take away window remains allowed.
Spas and medical rehabilitation facilities can only provide care to people whose stay is at least partially covered by public health insurance, not to self-payers.
Farmer's markets may only sell locally produced fruit, vegetables, milk and dairy products, meat, eggs, bakery and confectionery products. Consumption of products in the market area is prohibited. A maximum of 20 persons can be present at one time on an area of 400 square meters on the market, and stalls must be at least two meters apart.
Restrictions
Mandatory wearing of mouth and nose protection applies to outdoor areas in municipalities if one is closer than two meters to another. Exceptions are members of one household or people playing sports. Veils in the car are also mandatory unless you drive in it alone or only with household members. Inside all buildings, except for residential housing or places of accommodation (for example, a hotel room), in public transport.
Hotels, pensions and other facilities may accommodate domestic and foreign guests exclusively for the purpose of business travel.
Restaurants and bars are closed, food in the restaurant can only be purchased through the serving window, which is available until 8 pm. Many restaurants publish the current menu or the possibility of delivery around the city on their websites.
Most shops in the Czech Republic are closed. Only facilities providing essential goods, ie pharmacies, grocery stores or drugstores remain open.
Bus and train transport and taxi service in the Czech Republic works without restrictions. However, in connection with the closure of primary, secondary and higher education institutions, some carriers are considering the cancellation of selected bus or train connections. By November 3, cultural events and cultural institutions throughout the Czech Republic have been canceled, ie. museums, galleries, theaters, cinemas, castles, chateaux and zoos. Also closed are music, dance, games and other social clubs and discos as well as gyms, fitness centers, indoor pools and swimming pools. During this period, many cultural institutions offer online presentations of current exhibitions, permanent exhibitions or virtual tours of buildings. Other restrictions apply to congresses, educational events and trade fairs. All these events are canceled by November 3.
