Tourism is picking up again in Czechia
In 2022, Czech Republic’s tourism income were almost CZK 51.2 billion higher than a year earlier. Even though it has not yet reached pre-pandemic levels. According to these data, the balance of tourism was also positive, namely two billion crowns. The largest number of tourists were Germans, Slovaks and Poles.

Data provided by VisitCzech Republic, the official website of the Czech National Tourist Board, also revealed that the revenue, in total, was about CZK 118 billion.

The same source shows that the country has now exceeded the figure of CZK 100 billion, even though it has not yet reached pre-pandemic levels. According to these data, the balance of tourism was also positive, namely two billion crowns.

The Czech Republic’s income from tourism in 2021 was CZK 66.8 billion, compared to CZK 83 billion the year before, in 2020, while in 2019, revenues were CZK 167 billion.

In October 2022 alone, the Czech Republic recorded 23 per cent more visitors compared to the same month in 2021. As a result, the country recorded a total of 1.3 million visitors during this period, of which 51 per cent, or 672,000, came from out.

However, compared to October 2019, there were eight per cent fewer hotel guests.
