The iconic Alcron Hotel, opened in 1932, underwent a sensitive renovation in 2023 and became part of the luxurious Almanac Hotels collection. Located near Wenceslas Square and Old Town, its rich history and modern design blend tradition with innovation. A total of 204 rooms and public spaces have been renovated, where Art Deco and functionalist elements seamlessly merge with contemporary style. The design was created by the Spanish team Tres Cinco Uno, in collaboration with Czech architects from Marani Studio.

The hotel blends art with modern comfort, dedicating spaces to talented Czech artists. These include Lucie Jindrák Skřivánková, who created an eight-meter mural, and Patrik Kriššák, whose works in the Alcron Restaurant address ecological themes. Alžběta Josefy’s paintings depict organic forms, while Michaela Červená brings a delicate, feminine touch to the Junior suites.

Czech glassmaking tradition is represented by a limited collection of glass objects created by the Salanský Studio, with additional pieces from Rückl in the Presidential Suite. The hotel offers a unique fusion of design, art, and tradition, with a focus on sustainability and support for local artists - whether through visual art, fashion, glass, or design. Every three months, we host Rotating Art Exhibitions, displaying works by a new Czech or Slovak artist in the lobby and along the iconic 30s marble staircase. These exhibitions are accompanied by opening events and other activities.

Guests can also enjoy their stay in a truly gourmet way whether they visit the Alcron Restaurant, serving seasonal dishes with a modern twist, listed in the prestigious Gaullt Millau restaurant guide or the Alcron Bar offering high-level mixology with signature drinks inspired by the hotel’s history or Elias Coffee Shop servings specialty coffee and vegan delicacies. The hotel’s upcoming rooftop, opening this autumn, will offer stunning 360-degree views of Prague.
