“Dan Brown’s novel clearly promotes literary tourism, drawing visitors to the locations featured in the book. I’m delighted that we’ve expanded the routes to include sites that are typically less accessible and lie outside the city’s conservation area,” says František Cipro, chairman of the Prague City Tourism board. He adds that the book strengthens Prague’s reputation as a UNESCO Creative City of Literature and attracts culturally motivated travelers, a long-standing key audience for the city.
Starting in April, visitors can join Dan Brown’s Prague: A Hidden Laboratory in the Heart of Europe, a guided walk revealing the location of the fictional PRÁH laboratory at the Crucifix Bastion and key moments experienced by Professor Robert Langdon and Katherine Solomon. Focused on neurology and extrasensory perception, the two-hour route includes guided access to the Folimanka underground shelter. Walks will generally take place on Saturday mornings on dates listed at prague.eu and will be conducted in Czech, with private tours available in English and other languages.
