Prague Airport, in cooperation with the Police of the Czech Republic, is set to expand and modernise the border control area for arriving passengers at Terminal 1. The upgrade will increase capacity, particularly during peak periods, and help reduce passenger waiting times. Five new passport control desks and four EasyGoGate (EGG) self-service gates will be added, with the equipment supplied and installed by the Police of the Czech Republic. Work is scheduled to begin in the first half of September 2026, with completion expected by the end of April 2027.
