The ISU World Figure Skating Championships is an annual global event bringing together approximately 200 of the world’s top figure skaters from more than 50 countries. Athletes compete across four disciplines: men’s singles, women’s singles, pairs and ice dance. Each year, the Championships draw tens of thousands of spectators to the host city and reach an international television audience of over 300 million viewers. In March 2026, Prague’s O2 Arena will host the world’s elite as they compete for the sport’s most prestigious medals.
For the third time in history - following editions in 1962 and 1993 - Prague will take centre stage in the world of figure skating. The city has a proud skating legacy, having also hosted the ISU European Figure Skating Championships in 1948. Building on the success of the 2017 ISU European Championships in Ostrava, the World Junior Championships, and multiple ISU Junior Grand Prix events including the Final, the Czech Figure Skating Association is ready to achieve a new milestone. Audiences can look forward to unforgettable performances filled with excitement, elegance and moments that will shape figure skating history.
