At the heart of the region’s gastronomic scene is ESSENS, the Michelin-starred restaurant at Chateau Herálec, reflecting the high standard of dining found across South Moravia. The region’s culinary offer will receive further attention in October with the launch of the latest editions of Gourmet South Moraviaand Gourmet Brno, providing curated recommendations for restaurants, cafés and food experiences across the region.
Wine tourism is also evolving. The newly opened ARTEVINI Resortcombines a premium winery experience with luxury accommodation, a high-end restaurant and an infinity pool overlooking the surrounding countryside. Another wine-focused accommodation project, Rezidence Lacina, is due to open in Velké Pavlovice later this year.
In Brno, the region’s vibrant capital, the hospitality offer continues to grow with the newly opened Clarion Congress Hotel Brno, while Hotel Slavia is expected to open at the beginning of 2027. The city has also welcomed the newly completed Ruller Embankment, a new leisure and relaxation area along the river.
Brno is further expanding its cultural and events infrastructure. T Arena Brno, scheduled for a grand opening in January, will become the city’s largest indoor venue, designed to host concerts, cultural performances, conferences and major entertainment events.
A new highlight for wine enthusiasts will be the Land of Wine (Země vína) exhibition at Špilberk Castle, opening on 6th November 2026. The exhibition will explore Czech and Moravian wine production and the country’s wine-growing regions, with visitors also able to taste selected wines through wine dispensing machines.
