With Respect for Czech Nature: A Guide to Responsible Travel
Czech nature is one of the country’s greatest treasures, and the “With Respect for Czech Nature” manual provides practical tips on how to enjoy it responsibly—so it stays beautiful for future generations. It encourages visitors to respect local communities, protect the landscape, and discover destinations that make travel meaningful. The guide is available online through CzechTourism and, in both digital and print formats, is shared with tourist centers, destination managers, and partners across the Czech Republic to help visitors explore responsibly.
The manual comes in two versions:
- “With Respect for Czech Nature” – focuses on outdoor activities, offering advice on how to experience forests, mountains, and trails while being mindful of the environment and its unique features.
- “Travel Responsibly” – takes a broader view of travel, covering urban tourism, practical tips, and Czech-specific systems such as the country’s dense railway network and its exceptional network of marked hiking trails. The English version further expands on these principles to guide international visitors.
The guide emphasizes simple yet powerful ways to travel responsibly. Visitors are encouraged to use marked trails, take all belongings back with them, park only in designated areas, and respect the peace of places that are home to locals and wildlife. It also reminds travellers that planning ahead—checking routes, weather, and available services—enhances the experience while minimizing environmental impact.
With clear advice and visually engaging design, this manual inspires travellers to enjoy the Czech Republic thoughtfully, creating lasting memories while protecting its natural beauty.
