For two days, Prague becomes a vibrant hub of global tourism as it hosts Czechia Travel Trade Day 2026 on 20–21 April. Organised annually by CzechTourism in cooperation with Prague City Tourism and regional partners, the event once again highlights the capital’s role as a gateway to Czechia and a key centre for international tourism collaboration.

A platform for business and inspiration

Czechia Travel Trade Day (TTD) ranks among the country’s most important inbound tourism events, bringing together representatives from regions, cities, and destination management organisations. Its core programme features pre-arranged business meetings connecting international tour operators and travel agencies with Czech tourism professionals, creating opportunities for new partnerships while showcasing the diversity of destinations across the country.

An essential part of the programme is a series of familiarisation trips. Alongside Prague, this year’s edition highlights the tourism potential of Central Bohemia, Liberec Region, Olomouc Region, Pardubice Region, Pilsen Region and the Vysočina Region, giving international guests first-hand insight into the country’s varied tourism offer.

Global participation

This year’s event welcomes dozens of buyers, tour operators and travel agency representatives from more than twenty countries, alongside hundreds of Czech tourism professionals and around twenty international journalists. Through curated trips and meetings, participants explore historic landmarks, traditional crafts and modern tourism experiences, strengthening business ties and gaining a deeper understanding of what Czechia has to offer.

Showcasing Prague in new ways

As a host city, Prague presents itself through innovative formats, including guided tours inspired by Dan Brown’s works, leading visitors beyond the historic centre to lesser-known sites such as the Folimanka Bunker. The programme also reflects evolving tourism trends, with a growing focus on high-quality services, luxury accommodation and increased visitor spending, supported by initiatives like the Prague Visitor Pass.

What’s new in 2026

Each year, TTD takes place in a different city, previously visiting destinations such as Brno, Karlovy Vary, České Budějovice and Ostrava. The 2026 edition introduces an expanded format, with business meetings held on both days, greater involvement of product managers, and a programme combining panel discussions with destination presentations. A gala evening at the Slovanský dům provides additional networking opportunities in an informal setting.

Strengthening Czechia’s global appeal

Czechia Travel Trade Day continues to demonstrate the country’s strong position as a competitive and diverse tourism destination. By connecting local businesses with international partners, the event supports regional development and creates new opportunities for the growth of inbound tourism across Czechia.
