CzechTourism offers press trips for both individual journalists, bloggers, influencers, and groups. If you are interested in participating in a press trip, please read the following:

Press trips organized by CzechTourism USA & Canada are intended exclusively for foreign media writing for U.S. and Canadian outlets. For other markets, please contact our colleagues in the respective foreign offices.

If you are a journalist producing feature-length content, in a high-audience outlet, that will inspire travel to Czechia you may qualify for some level of trip support. We receive a very high number of media requests and regret that we can’t assist in all cases.

All requests for media visits are assessed on an individual basis, according to circulation, availability and budgets but priority is given to target media.

In order to be qualified for host assistance, journalists must fill out the media form and present examples of latest travel clip(s) within the period of last six months, copies of either publication or broadcast clip, along with the letter from your editor/publisher/news director validating your task.

To be considered for support as a digital influencer, you must have a strong following in the United States and/or Canada.

Both journalist and digital influencers, make sure that you will reach out to us at krizek@czechtourism.gov.cz at least six weeks prior to your foreseen arrival date. In case you are unable to provide six weeks’ notice, we will try our best in assisting you and may refer you straight to our partners where applicable.

Be aware of the fact that CzechTourism does not supply with complimentary airfare, hotels, ground transportation, meals, tour guides or translators for travel journalists and digital influencers unless they have been invited to cooperate by CzechTourism. Therefore, travel journalist or digital influencer not being part of CzechTourism cooperation, complimentary airfare, hotels, ground transportation, meals, tour guides or translators cannot be guaranteed.

In order for CzechTourism to consider organizing an itinerary for a travel journalist or digital influencer, the person must be covering more than one region of the country on their trip. Otherwise, a travel journalist will be directly referred to our partners in area you are interested in.

Neither CzechTourism nor any of our partners can guarantee complimentary or press rate accommodations, especially during the peak season, holidays or major events, which may vary from region to region.

CzechTourism cannot provide assistance for personal traveling companions. Set up for a guest is up to the hotel, restaurant, etc.

We do not pay for hotel accommodation for independent press visits (without assignment) but we can liaise with hotels to try to secure a media rate for visiting journalists depending on the media outlet.

All participants are responsible for their own travel insurance, including appropriate winter or summer sports cover if necessary.

While we welcome the opportunity to work with television and film productions, CzechTourism cannot arrange any work visas or filming permits.

Journalists and bloggers who receive support from CzechTourism must mention CzechTourism and a link to CzechTourism’s website in their article/ blog post.

After the trip please send us all coverage generated as a result of your trip.
