The last weekend of September brings a festive autumn atmosphere to Český Krumlov. The town comes alive with the St Wenceslas Celebrations and the International Folklore Festival, filling the historic centre with music, dance, local food and traditional crafts.

The celebrations honour St. Wenceslas, the patron saint of Czech lands as well as brewers and winemakers. Visitors can enjoy concerts, folklore performances, a traditional craft fair, autumn specialities and wine tasting, as well as a programme for families. One of the highlights is the St Wenceslas Evening of Open Museums and Galleries, offering a chance to explore some of the town’s cultural venues after dark.

The festive atmosphere continues throughout the historic centre, where folklore groups perform at several locations as part of the International Folklore Festival. With its combination of music, traditions, local flavours and the unique setting of Český Krumlov, the event is a great way to experience the town in autumn.
