The civil wedding ceremony is in the Czech language (it is interpreted for foreigners - the cost of the interpreter is covered by the betrothed), it usually lasts 15-30 minutes. At the beginning, there may be a wedding processional accompanied by music, at the end of the ceremony there is a signing of the marriage protocol, which is signed by the newlyweds, two witnesses and the officiant. It may include the exchange of rings and the first newlywed´s kiss. At the end there is a ceremonial recessional, congratulations.
