The Haná Museum is a unique testament to traditional earthen folk architecture from the Haná region. It showcases classic Haná-style buildings, including a fully furnished farmhouse and three rare triple-gated barns nestled in the surrounding gardens. All the structures on the grounds are officially recognized cultural monuments and are complemented by rural furnishings dating from 1799 to 1950. Since hard work has always gone hand in hand with good food in Haná, it would be a shame to miss the nearby town of Loštice—home to the Museum of A.W. Olomoucke Tvaruzky (a traditional regional cheese).

Beyond standard guided tours, the Haná Museum offers a variety of immersive experiences.
Visitors can take part in traditional Earthen Building Days or try their hand at age-old harvest and threshing techniques during interactive demonstrations. These hands-on activities bring history to life by letting guests experience the everyday work of the past. In summer and at Christmas, the museum hosts craft fairs, concerts, and other cultural events. The former granaries above the residential section have been transformed into galleries, where exhibitions enhance the unique atmosphere of the space.

At the Museum of Olomouc Tvarůžky, you’ll learn everything about the production of this iconic cheese—from curd processing and shaping to brining and packaging. The museum features original 20th-century shaping and brining machines, including a working box press. You can also visit the company store of A.W. spol. s r.o. The museum is fully wheelchair accessible, and self-guided tours allow each visitor to explore at their own pace and according to their interests.
