Similarly as the spring months in Prague belong to the classical music festival Prague Spring, autumn is associated with the organization of the International Jazz Festival. While in the past the organizers focused primarily on the traditional concept of jazz, in recent times the festival aims to showcase various possibilities and variations from different corners of the world. The Festival traditionally begins on the premises of the legendary jazz club the Reduta Club in the center of Prague. The series of concerts present both international award winning artists with many awards including Grammys, as well as the stars of the Czech jazz scene.
