The Prague Mayors’ rowing race is held under the auspices of the Mayor of Prague and in 2013 celebrated its one hundredth year. The course follows the river Vltava with the usual goal at the Rašínova waterfront. This most prestigious discipline involves teams of eight men each, with the popular races on the skiff regularly attended by leading Czech rowers and medalists from the Olympic Games. The supporting program includes tours of the engineering works of the water station in Prague-Podolí, tests of strength with rowing professionals, and Sunday brunch at Smíchov Beach.
