Every year the festival presents beer from the Czech Republic and Europe or possibly even from Armenia or Japan.
At the Golden Beer Seal festival beer is taken very seriously indeed. Participants compete in different categories, their beer is judged by a panel of experts but visitors can also indulge in tasting the competing brews.
In 2025, 247 breweries and 1,158 samples competed in 38 categories. Expert tastings are held with the participation of experts in the fields of brewing, food and quality certification.
Since 1990 organisers have followed tried and trusted rules, but novelties are on the agenda too. One of them is for example a new category - “Cider”. True, it is not a genuine beer based drink, but more and more breweries have included it in their product range and in addition, it has recorded an increasing popularity among consumers.
Medalists in individual brewing categories will have the opportunity to compete for the main festival award, the WORLD BEER SEAL. The festival also awards the best cider producers, the WORLD CIDER SEAL.
