Top music stars are heading to Czechia
Besides hosting major music and film festivals, Czechia is set to welcome some of the big names on the music scene in 2024. Here are some tips for their solo concerts.

Metal and the colours of music

first big name is the American hitmakers Black Eyed Peas, who are returning to Prague after 14 years. They’ll be appearing at the Žluté lázně open-air complex in Prague, right by the mighty Vltava River, on July 10, 2024.
The highlight of the year for metal fans is the Masters of Rock festival (11 – 14 July 2024). Vizovice will be hosting gigs by rock legends such as Judas Priest, Accept and Stratovarius. Bruce Dickinson, lead singer of Iron Maiden, will appear with his solo project.

As always, music lovers of all genres will be heading to the Colours of Ostrava festival (17 -20 July 2024) at Dolní Vítkovice in the city of Ostrava, the industrial heartland of Czechia’s eastern region. Colours of Ostrava will feature Sam Smith, five-time Grammy winner, as well as Lenny Kravitz, who will also be playing songs from his new album Blue Electric Light.

Romance and hip-hop

Hradec Králové, a city renowned for its culture and entertainment, will host the ladies’ favourite, Ed Sheeran. In response to the great interest shown by fans, he’ll be performing twice in Park 360 in Hradec Králové, on 27 and 28 July 2024.

The rap event of the year will be a performance by hip-hop icon Travis Scott at the O2 Arena in Prague on 18 July 2024. The American star will be appearing as part of his UTOPIA - Circus Maximus Tour 2023. In Prague, visitors have a wealth of ways to spend their leisure time, from strolling through the historical centre with the iconic Charles Bridge or visiting Prague Castle to relaxing on the romantic waterfront by the Vltava River or tasting local specialties, including the famous golden nectar.

Nick Cave and Sepultura

Classic rock lovers are already eagerly anticipating the concert by the German band Scorpions. They’ll appearat the Enteria arena in Pardubice, the city of delicious gingerbread and the legendary Grand Pardubice Steeplechase. Their Love at First Sting Tour marks the 40th anniversary of the album of the same name.
One of the most influential bands ever, without whom we wouldn’t have the music of Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Radiohead or The Strokes, returns to Prague's Forum Karlín. The Pixies will be rocking the place out on 10 August 2024.

In October, Jonas Brothers and the ever-popular Nick Cave will be coming to the O2 Arena in Prague. Another attraction (24 October at the Fortuna sports hall) is the gig by the well-known band Within Temptation. In November, Czechia’s capital will host performances by American singer Beth Hart and Brazilian metal band Sepultura.
