The exhibition brings together authentic historical artefacts, fascinating stories and state-of-the-art technology. It takes visitors back to the era of the Napoleonic Wars, offering insights not only into military strategies and key historical figures, but also into the lives of ordinary people whose destinies were forever changed by the conflict.
Meet Napoleon Through Artificial Intelligence
One of the highlights of the exhibition at Slavkov Castle is a collection of Napoleon Bonaparte’s personal belongings. Visitors can also enjoy a unique opportunity to interact with an AI-powered representation of Napoleon himself. They can ask him questions and engage in a conversation, receiving responses in real time.
The Battle of the Three Emperors Brought to Life
At the heart of the exhibition is a large-scale model of the Austerlitz battlefield, where light and sound effects recreate the events of 2 December 1805. Visitors can follow the movements of the armies, gain insight into Napoleon’s military strategy and discover why the Battle of Austerlitz remains one of the most famous military engagements in European history.
The exhibition also commemorates the fates of soldiers and local residents whose lives were profoundly affected by the battle.
Rather than glorifying war, the exhibition seeks to provide a deeper understanding of its historical context, the human stories behind the conflict and the far-reaching consequences of an event that reshaped Europe's political landscape.
A visit to the exhibition can easily be combined with a tour of the Baroque Slavkov – Austerlitz Castle and its extensive park. You can also explore other important sites associated with the Battle of Austerlitz, including the Peace Memorial.
