The Mucha Museum on Panská Street, Prague
Discover the life and work of Alfons Mucha, the world-renowned Czech Art Nouveau artist who created many of his masterpieces during his time in Paris. Located in the heart of Prague, the museum offers a unique insight into his artistic journey. Following an extensive renovation in 2024, the Mucha Museum in the Kaunický Palace now features a completely new exhibition, including the famous poster collection owned by Czech-American former professional tennis player Ivan Lendl.

From Paris to Prague

Founded by Swiss entrepreneur Sebastian Pawlowski, the museum showcases original masterpieces from Mucha’s Paris period and his most iconic commercial commissions for brands such as Moët & Chandon, Job, Lefèvre-Utile, and Nestlé. In addition to posters, visitors can admire drawings, jewellery, and spiritual works — including foundational pieces of the Slav Epic.

Additional decorative items, stamps, letters, banknotes, and examples of Mucha’s book illustrations are displayed in dedicated cases. In the final section of the exhibition, visitors can explore works from Mucha’s later period, focusing on distinctly Czech themes.

Beyond the Canvas

A groundbreaking innovation at the museum is MUSEUS, the AI guide — the first of its kind in Europe. Accessible directly from your smartphone, it supports communication in six major languages, from English to Japanese. This intelligent guide allows visitors to ask questions about Mucha and the exhibited works, providing well-informed and detailed answers.
