Havlíčkův Brod region

A landscape loved by poets, artists and writers. A region where the Železné Mountains reach into the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands in the north and where you will not only find forested hills, but also rocky and romantic valleys that remember the clanking of Hussite weapons. The highest point of the region is Melechov, 709 metres above sea level. Important sites include the castle in Lipnice nad Sázavou, linked to author Jaroslav Hašek, and the castle in Ledeč nad Sázavou.
