Which Concerts to See – Spring and Summer 2019

Bob Dylan and His Band (7, 8, and 9 April, Lucerna Great Hall)

Songwriter Bob Dylan has prepared three concerts for his Czech fans. He will present the songs from his latest album, Triplicate, as well as his greatest hits in the Lucerna Great Hall in Prague. Bob Dylan is known for continuously changing and improving his concerts. The visitors of his Prague concerts definitely have something to look forward to!

Passenger (16 April, Roxy)

Passenger, a popular songwriter, is coming back to Prague. He is famous for his song ‘Let Her Go’, which made it to the top of many music charts in 2012.

Bobby McFerrin (30 April, Forum Karlín)

The holder of ten Grammy Awards and the creator of fifteen albums selling more than 20 million copies runs barefoot on stages of the most famous world scenes. In April, he will come to Prague with Gimme 5.

Dido (5 May, Forum Karlín)

The singer who became famous in the 2000s is setting out on a world tour after fifteen years, including her first concert in the Czech Republic. She will sing her well-known hits as well as new songs from her upcoming album.

Elton John (7 May, O2 Arena)

The legendary Elton John has published the dates of what is allegedly his very last tour. He will say farewell to the Czech Republic as part of the Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour.

Alvaro Soler (7 May, Tipsport Arena)

Alvaro Soler will perform at Prague’s Tipsport Arena. He is returning to the Czech capital to introduce his new songs from Mar de Colores, which came out in September of last year.

Glen Hansard (11 May, Sono Centrum Brno)

Glen Hansard, an Irish singer and guitarist, always brings a charismatic show. This year, he will perform at the Sono Centrum in Brno, which will celebrate its fifth anniversary on the same day. Last year Glen Hansard released an album called Between Two Shores, and he is to release a new album this year.

LP (11 and 12 May, Forum Karlín)

American musician LP is also bringing a new album to Prague in May. Visitors to Forum Karlín can look forward to listening to the songs from her album Heart To Mouth, including the single ‘Girls Go Wild’.

George Ezra (21 May, Tipsport Arena)

Last year, George Ezra’s concert in Forum Karlín sold out in a single day. Considering the great interest, the organisers rapidly announced another performance, which will take place on 21 May, this time at Tipsport Arena. Visitors can look forward to hearing famous hits and new songs from his latest recording, Staying At Tamara’s.

Jamiroquai (25 May, O2 arena)

The British band Jamiroquai is coming back to the Czech Republic to headline their own concert. The concert will take place on 25 May at O2 Arena.

Muse (26 May, Letiště Letňany)

Muse will perform their album Simulation Theory at the Prague Letňany airport. Their concerts are always an experience, and this one will be no exception: they promise a great show with excellent sound and visual effects.

Maroon 5 (5 June, O2 Arena)

The American group Maroon 5 will perform in the Czech Republic for the first time. Last year, they announced that their successful tour of Red Pill Blues will continue. Prague can look forward to enjoying their hits, such as ‘This Love’, ‘Sugar’, ‘Moves like Jagger’, and ‘Misery’ live for the first time.

Smashing Pumpkins (6 June, Forum Karlín)

The Smashing Pumpkins, an American alternative rock legend, is coming to Prague to celebrate thirty years of their existence. They have almost completely reassembled their original line-up, and they will present their new album, Shiny and Oh So Bright, Vol. 1 / LP: No Past. No Future. No Sun.
Glenn Hughes – Deep Purple Classic Live (8 June, Sono Centrum Brno)
The former bass guitarist and vocalist of Deep Purple, known to millions of rock fans as the “Voice of Rock”, and the current frontman of Black Country Communion will perform at the Sono Centrum in Brno as part of his European tour, and he will only play Deep Purple songs from his time with the band.

Prague Rocks – Kiss and ZZ Top (19 June, Eden Arena)

The second Prague Rocks will welcome two rock legends to Eden Arena on 19 June: Kiss and ZZ Top. As for Kiss, it is said to be their very last performance in the Czech Republic.

Backstreet Boys (22 June, O2 arena)

The most famous boyband of all time is coming back. The boys are now men, and they have released a new album called DNA, which they are coming to present in Prague. But they will also perform their old hits that made them famous all over the world in the 1990s.

Ed Sheeran (7 and 8 July, Letňany Airport)

The British songwriter has announced a concert in the Czech Republic, and he added another date as the tickets are selling fast. One of the most popular contemporary singer-songwriters will have two concerts in Prague: on 7 and 8 July.

Sting (12 July, Slavkov u Brna, Zámecká zahrada)

Sting is promising to play the best songs of his solo career as well as the hits of The Police at his concert at the chateau in Slavkov u Brna as part of a tour simply called My Songs.

Rammstein (16 and 17 July, Eden Arena)

The German band Rammstein is coming back with two concerts to introduce new songs to their fans.

Metallica (18 August, Letiště Letňany)

The band is coming back to Europe with their WorldWired Tour. They will perform in the open air at the airport in Letňany on 18 August.

The Offspring (20 and 21 August, Loket and Brno Exhibition Centre)

The Offspring is also going to give two concerts in the Czech Republic this year. The first one will be at the Loket castle on 20 August, and then the band will perform at the Brno Exhibition Centre on the following day.
