Dočesná in Žatec, a hop and beer festival, is the culminating event of the royal town founded in 1004. It is traditionally held in the first week of September. It started as a celebration of the finishing of the last hop flow.
In addition to traditional competitions such as the corbel dance or hand combing of hops, visitors can look forward to a rich cultural programme, entertainment and, above all, tasting delicious beers!
