Sigmund Freud Museum in Příbor
Sigmund Freud Museum in Příbor: See the family home of the father of psychoanalysis
Come and see the birthplace of Sigmund Freud, the place where he spent his childhood. This museum in Příbor, open all year round, doesn’t go over the usual ground with Freud’s life but presents the world famous father of psychoanalysis through his thoughts. The audio guide is recorded in Freud’s fictitious voice and relates the most important moments of his career, giving an insight into his inner thoughts and scientific approach. The exhibition is complimented with caricatures by the well-known Czech illustrator, Vladimír Jiránek, in which Freud is portrayed in a rather unusual manner – as a lover of humour.
