Plzeň is not only globally renown thanks to its Pilsner Urquell brewery, but also for the Škoda factory. The European Capital of Culture title was also awarded to the West Bohemian capital in 2015. One of the key venues of this year-long festival was the DEPO2015 cultural centre, built on the site of a former bus depot. Follow in the footsteps of Plzeň factory owners using the Industrial Trail mobile application, which is available in both English and German. The whole trail consists of a total of 11 marked stops where visitors can play short videos concerning the place by means of a QR code. The guide in each of the videos is a historic personality who is closely connected to the location. So, visitors can virtually meet notable factory owners who had helped Plzeň to establish itself in international trade.
