Audi FIS SKI World Cup Špindlerův Mlýn
The Audi FIS Ski World Cup Špindlerův Mlýn 2026, taking place from January 24 to 26, will bring the world’s best alpine skiers to one of Central Europe’s most iconic mountain resorts. Thousands of fans will witness elite women’s ski racing on the technically demanding slopes of the Krkonoše Mountains.
The biggest star of the event will be Mikaela Shiffrin, the most successful alpine skier of all time. Špindlerův Mlýn holds a special place in her career, as it was the first venue where she ever competed in a World Cup race. According to Shiffrin herself, Špindlerův Mlýn has a very special place in her heart and remains one of her favorite destinations on the World Cup circuit.
BMW IBU World Cup Biathlon Nové Město na Moravě
The white trail leads to Czechia. The modernized Vysočina Arena in Nové Město na Moravě, with a capacity of just under thirty thousand spectators, will host the world’s top biathlon athletes from January 22 to 25. Fans can look forward to stars such as Johan‑Olav Botn from Norway, Philipp Horn from Germany, Lou Jeanmonnot from France, and Dorothea Wierer from Italy, among others. Despite high demand, some tickets are still available. Between races, visitors can also explore the fascinating sites of Vysočina or the nearby city of Brno.

Visa FIS Snowboard Alpine World Cup Špindlerův Mlýn
Špindlerův Mlýn will host its debut in the FIS Snowboard Alpine World Cup circuit with parallel slalom races for both men and women from March 7 to 8 . Fans are already excited about potential stars such as Ester Ledecká from the Czech Republic, the Olympic champion Tsubaki Miki from Japan or Sabine Payer from Austria, a multiple-time World Cup podium finisher. On the men’s side, attention is drawn to Andreas Prommegger from Austria, a veteran with multiple World Championship titles, Maurizio Bormolini from Italy, last season’s men’s parallel champion and Aaron March from Italy, a consistent top contender with numerous World Cup wins.
Czech Indoor Gala and Golden Spike Ostrava
Ostrava, the Mecca of Czech Athletics Targets big Stars. The metropolis of North Moravia will welcome top athletes twice. The first event, the Czech Indoor Gala 2026, part of the elite World Athletics Indoor Tour, kicks off on February 3. Highlights include Greek athlete Miltiadis Tentoglou, a two-time Olympic long jump champion, who will go head-to-head with Italy’s Mattia Furlani.
The city will be also holding the prestigious Golden Spike 2026 - an athletics competition, which is part of the World Athletics Continental Tour - Gold, on June 16. Sprinter Usain Bolt from Jamaica or pole vaulter Armand Duplantis from Sweden have competed in this event in the past, and this year, top competitors from the Olympics and World Championships will return to compete.
ISU Figure Skating World Championships Prague 2026
From March 24 to 29, the world’s top figure skaters will converge on Prague’s O2 Arena to compete for world championship medals. Prague will become the global center of figure skating for the third time in the history of the World Championships, having last hosted the sport’s elite in 1993. The city’s magic has been experienced firsthand by legends such as Canadian icon Kurt Browning and France’s Surya Bonaly. Who will shine this time? Will it be Ilia Malinin from the USA, one of the brightest talents of his generation, or Japan’s Kaori Sakamoto, a multiple-time World Championship medalist? Let’s find out.

WDSF European Championship Solo Standard Female Adult
The official European Championship in Standard dances will be hosted by Prague on May 1. The event is part of the competition series held under the auspices of the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF). Regular participants include Sophia Schlücker from Germany, Eva-Maria Forsström from Finland, and other top-level female dancers.
UCI Mountain Bike World Cup
From Cross-Country Skiing to Mountain Biking. Cross-country skiers in Nové Město na Moravě will give way to mountain bikers. From May 22 to 24, the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup, part of the prestigious UCI Mountain Bike Series, will take place here.
ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup Prague
June, traditionally full of sports events, will also feature the Canoe Slalom World Cup (from June 5 to 7) for instance. Like the phenomenal Australian Jessica Fox, you can also enjoy wandering through the romantic, narrow streets of Prague Old Town when you’re not watching the sports events.
MotoGP Brno
In 2025, the prestigious MotoGP World Championship returned to the Czech Republic, an event that draws a quarter of a million fans around the world each year. In 2026, the event kicks off on June 19 at the Masaryk Circuit in Brno. If they stay injury-free, you’ll have the chance to admire the skills of Italian Francesco Bagnaia of the Ducati Lenovo Team, or Spanish racer Marc Márquez, known for his daring riding style.
CEV EuroVolley 2026 - European Women’s Volleyball Championship in Brno
4 host nations — Czechia, Sweden, Turkey, and Azerbaijan, 24 teams, including the reigning world champions from Italy and the defending European champions from Turkey. A total of 76 spectacular matches will be played from August 21 to September 6. For a short time, Brno will become the home base for the national teams of Austria, Serbia — led by megastar Tijana Bošković — Ukraine, Bulgaria, and Greece.

European Carp Fishing Championship
Autumn Brings Battles of Anglers. Learn how to catch the golden carp at Stairs2Hell, the European Carp Fishing Championship, taking place from October 3 to 10 at Nové Mlýny. Around 300 competitors from all over the world are expected, with famous angler and renowned influencer Jakub Vágner serving as ambassador. The event is organized by the European Carp Fishing Association.
Experience Velká pardubická. The most famous, the most difficult and the oldest steeplechase in continental Europe takes place in Czechia at the beginning of October every year. It is a true festival not only for steeplechase fans; it is a phenomenon that makes every Czech proud.
The Parkour Earth World Championships
From October 28 to November 1, the city of Brno will host the official Parkour Earth World Championships, one of the largest and most prestigious events in the global parkour community. This marks the first time the World Championships will take place in the Czech Republic. We believe the very best athletes in the world will attend, and fans can look forward to seeing, among others, world champion and Parkour World Cup Speed winner Caryl Cordt-Moller from Switzerland, as well as World Games multi-medalist Noa Diorgina Man from the Netherlands.
Our tip: Throughout 2026, a variety of parkour workshops and summer camps will also be held across the Czech Republic, including the VSA Action Sports Camp with a dedicated parkour program in Pardubice from August 3 to 8.
EHF European Women’s Handball Championship
The Women’s EHF European Handball Championship 2026 will bring elite European handball to Czechia after 36 years. From December 3 to 20, five host countries will welcome fans to one of the biggest sporting events of the year – with Brno hosting Group D in the Preliminary Round.
