Gentlemen, your day is here! On 19 November, International Men’s Day is celebrated, which is the perfect reason to switch off, go on a trip and enjoy a bit of well-deserved fun. Czechia is ready for you!
Golf in the Mountains and Famous Cars
Are you fans of golf and mountain hiking? Then you and your friends will fall in love with the Beskydy Mountains and their surroundings in the north-east of Czechia. There you will find the largest golf resort in Czechia, the 55 HOLES GOLF DESTINATION, created by joining two top-class courses, Prosper Golf Resort Čeladná and Golf & Ski Resort Ostravice. You can play on three 18-hole championship courses with breathtaking views of the highest mountain of the Beskydy Mountains. You can stay in one of the resort’s 3 hotels and enjoy perfect time in the local wellness centre.
Do you want to try something different? Set out on one of the many hiking trails in the Beskydy Mountains. And you do not have to only do sport. Make your stay even better with a tour of the Radegast Brewery, where you will discover the tradition of producing one of the most famous Czech beers. And of course, you will be able to taste it too! Or book yourself straight into the Radegast Beer Academy and learn how to pull a pint of Czech beer properly.
If you are car lovers, you will enjoy Kopřivnice, the home of the oldest Czech car manufacturer, TATRA. There you can visit the TATRA Passenger Car Museum, where you can view, for example, the cabriolet made for Stalin or the aerosledge, and the TATRA Truck Museum, which boasts the truck with which driver Karel Loprais won the Paris–Dakar Rally.
Beer Trail to the Highest Czech Mountains
Are you tempted by a combination of mountain hiking and tasting Czech beer? Set out along the Krkonoše Beer Trail, the only mountain beer trail in Europe that you can complete in a single weekend. This unique route links several local microbreweries, so thanks to it you will discover plenty of flavours as well as the most beautiful corners of the highest Czech mountains. You can choose between two route options, 30.5 and 38.5 kilometres long. It is entirely up to you whether you walk it in one day or split the route into several stages and stay overnight in one of the mountain huts or directly in a brewery.
You can combine your mountain adventure with a trip to one of the largest modern fortresses in Europe – the enormous artillery fort Stachelberg with its unique underground system of corridors and halls stretching 3.5 kilometres and lying 25 to 60 metres below ground.
F1, UNESCO Lázně and the Czech Yellowstone
Combine adrenaline on the track with calm time in Lázně. Head to the Funarena in Cheb, the largest and most modern specialised racing go-kart circuit in Czechia. On the racing asphalt track, built according to the requirements of the world automobile federation, you will feel like F1 drivers!
After an exciting day on the track, rest in the nearby Františkovy Lázně, which form part of the UNESCO Czech spa triangle and were once visited, for example, by Beethoven and Goethe.
Just a short distance from Františkovy Lázně you can set out to theCzech Yellowstone. This is the nickname of the Soos National Nature Reserve, reminiscent of a strangely furrowed lunar landscape. In fact, this European rarity is a peatbog and fen where a large number of mineral springs rise and gases keep bubbling through the water, making it look as if it were boiling… You have to see this!
