Feel free to explore Czech traditions
In the Czech and Moravian countryside, traditions remain a natural part of everyday life. In family workshops, techniques hundreds of years old are still used: whether it is the hand printing of indigo block printing using historical blocks in Olešnice na Moravě or Strážnice, the production of delicate lace in Vamberk, or glassblowing in the legendary glassmaking regions. One of the most unique traditions is the handmade production of Christmas ornaments from glass beads in Poniklá.

Don’t miss a visit to Velké Losiny, one of the last places in Europe where you can see traditional handmade paper production in action, with guided tours available for a deeper experience. Right next door, you’ll find a very good restaurant, and just a short walk away, the Zlosin brewery is perfect for enjoying a local beer.
Folklore in Czechia is a vibrant and energetic part of culture, especially in Moravia. Throughout the year, you can experience dozens of folklore festivals where traditional music, dance, costumes, and regional gastronomy come together. One of the most famous is the Ride of the Kings in Vlčnov, a colourful folk celebration inscribed on the UNESCO list. Traditional carnival processions offer an equally impressive atmosphere.
We should also not forget piano making, which in Czechia is inseparably linked with the PETROF brand. This family company is among the world’s recognised manufacturers of this musical instrument. It was founded in Hradec Králové, where you can also visit the PETROF Museum, and to this day it impresses stars not only of classical music but also of global pop.
Feel free to taste Czech regional specialities
Winemaking – including wine harvest festivals and open wine cellars – as well as brewing are an integral part of Czech culture. Traditional beer barrel-making , the craft of making oak barrels, remains part of the heritage connected with legendary Czech beer.
Try Czech specialties
Regional specialities, wine festivals, and traditional markets offer the chance to taste local gastronomy: from sweet koláče and gingerbread to famous Moravian wine and Czech beer.
