Taste the creations of chef Otto Vašák, the first Czech chef ranked in The Best Chef Awards. You can enjoy them in a château set in the heart of a UNESCO-protected landscape. In 2025, the restaurant received a Michelin star and was also awarded three toques by the Gault&Millau guide.
The multi-course tasting menu, complemented by several smaller intermezzos, is served in the classicist Chateau de Frontiere in the middle of the Lednice–Valtice Cultural Landscape, nicknamed the Garden of Europe. Wine and non-alcoholic pairings are available. The former summer residence of the Liechtenstein family, located on the shores of Hlohovec Pond, lies in the heart of one of Czechia’s most renowned wine regions.
The experiential menu by chef Otto Vašák, who was included in the prestigious The Best Chef Awards ranking in 2025, is inspired by traditional Czech cuisine. At Essens, dishes are prepared exclusively from Czech ingredients, primarily sourced from regional producers – some of which are grown on the château grounds.
