The Velká Pardubická is one of the most prestigious and oldest steeplechases in the world, held annually at the Pardubice racecourse. This iconic race, which in 2025 will celebrate more than 130 years of tradition, attracts not only horse enthusiasts but also the general public eager to experience an unforgettable sporting event. With a course over 6 kilometres long and 31 demanding obstacles, the Velká pardubická is a true test of courage and skill.
Smetana’s Litomyšl: A Classical Music Gem

Litomyšl is one of the most beautiful and culturally rich towns in Czechia. The town is known as the birthplace of world-famous composer Bedřich Smetana, so it’s no surprise that the annual Smetana’s Litomyšl is among the most important music festivals in the country.

Pardubice Gingerbread: A Regional Delight
Our tip: Traditional Pardubice gingerbread makes a great souvenir. It’s compact, light and absolutely delicious.
You can buy Pardubice gingerbread not only throughout the region but also in shops across Czechia. This excellent treat, known for its unique flavour and soft texture, is made using a traditional honey-based recipe. However, in Pardubice and the surrounding towns, you’ll find the most beautifully decorated and creatively shaped pieces.

Kunětická hora: A dominant hill with the ruins of a castle.
Toulovec´s Stables: A sandstone rock city with picturesque gorges and caves, ideal for hiking.
Sky Walk and Sky Bridge: A unique wooden structure in Dolní Morava offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. You can also walk across one of the longest suspension bridges in the world – Sky Bridge 721. This is an extraordinary experience!
