Church of St. Michael in Olomouc
Three Baroque domes as one of the city’s landmarks
The Baroque Church of St. Michael came into existence after the reconstruction of the original Gothic church. It took its early Baroque form in the late 17th century according to a design by architect G. P. Tencalla.
The single-nave building with side chapels is copiously decorated with paintings and sculptures, making it an authentic piece of evidence on how the Baroque appealed to the senses of the churchgoers.
