At the top of Mount Kleť (1,084m) stands a viewing tower called Josef’s Tower, named after Josef Schwarzenberg who had it built. If you look out from the top when the weather is clear, you’ll see a large part of the Šumava and some peaks in the Alps. Near the viewing tower there’s a mountain refuge and an observatory. If you want to add a bit of excitement to your day, hire an all-terrain scooter, a map and a helmet, and set off on a thrilling ride down from the top of Kleť. You can head for Český Krumlov, Krásetín or Zlatá Koruna. The scooters are available year round and in July and August can be hired every day.
The scooters provides also company Koloběžky Kleť. The rental is based on prior reservation by phone +420 602 493 522 or online on the web https://www.kolobezky-krumlov.cz/ , e-mail: info@kolobezky-klet.cz
