The Bohemian Switzerland Ridge Trail

The route connects famous landmarks with hidden corners — picturesque villages, national park landscapes, historic footpaths, panoramic rock towns and deep river gorges. Its highest point reaches Mount Jedlová (774 m), while the lowest sections drop to just 115 m above sea level, offering an ever-changing mosaic of sceneries along the way. Each stage is easily accessible by public transport, with accommodation and dining options available in towns along the route, making this trail ideal even for car-free travellers.

The entire ridge trail is divided into six stages, ranging in length from 11 to more than 20 km, so you can plan it according to your abilities – either as a multi-day trip or walk it in sections.

Stage #1 Left Elbe Bank

Through rock towns over Table Mountain and the oldest stone lookout tower to the banks of the Elbe (20 or 18 km)
Petrovice or Tisá – Ostrov – Sněžník – Děčín

Stage #2 Right Elbe Bank

Along the ridge of rocks above the Elbe Canyon to the baroque viewpoint and the strangest house (20.5 km)
Děčín – Kvádrberk – Pink ridge – Belvedere – Labská Stráň – Hřensko

Stage #3 Around Hřensko

Views of the Bohemian Switzerland walls and over the Kamenice Gorge to the forest oasis (10 km)
Hřensko – Janov – Hájenky – Mezní můstek – Mezná – Mezní Louka

Stage #4 Through Jetřichovice Area

On forest paths, through the stone gate to the rock castle, and Jetřichovice lookouts (12 km).

Stage #5 Hind Bohemian Switzerland

From one river to another, crossing Pauline's Valley, navigating through rock crevices and a deserted village to a tomb with a heating plant (23 km)
Jetřichovice – Rynartice – Narrow Steps – Doubice – Kyjov Valley – Krásná Lípa

Stage #6 Krásná Lípa surroundings

Around the bird sanctuary through a rock adit and along the Way of the Cross to the Lusatian Mountains (13.5 km)
