One of Czechia’s most breathtaking natural attractions is finally reopening. Edmund’s Gorge, the iconic boat route through Bohemian Switzerland National Park, is once again welcoming visitors - nearly two years after a devastating wildfire forced its closure.
An exciting journey through rock formations
Bohemian Switzerland isn’t just about dramatic rock formations; it also offers idyllic boat trips through the area’s scenic gorges. You can board a punt heading upstream or downstream on the River Kamenice, guided by ferrymen who share fascinating commentary along the way.
The journey through Edmund Gorge is 960 meters long and takes about 20 minutes. The nearby Divoká Gorge is 450 meters long and can be traveled in around 15 minutes. Walking the path that follows the river, winding between rocks and through tunnels, is also an unforgettable experience.
However, don’t expect large crowds just yet: only 50 visitors per day are currently allowed on the boats, and tickets must be purchased in person at the Hřensko Information Center on the day of your visit.
