Prague Airport is divided into two sections, known as the old and new airport. The old section contains two terminals for private and VIP flights, while the new section houses Terminals 1 and 2 for the general public.

Terminal 1 (T1): Intercontinental flights, including flights to/from the UK, North America, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.

Terminal 2 (T2): Flights to/from EU countries that are members of the Schengen Agreement.

How to get to Prague Airport

Václav Havel Airport, also known as Prague Ruzyně, is located just 18 km from the city center of Prague. You can reach the airport by bus or car.

By bus / trolleybus

You can travel directly to/from Václav Havel Airport to/from the city center of Prague using several bus lines (in some cases in combination with the metro).

There is a special bus line called Aeroport Expres (AE) that runs to/from the Main Train Station (Hlavní vlakové nádraží), providing a direct connection between air, rail, and urban public transportation. It operates daily from 5:30 AM to 10:30 PM at 30-minute intervals. The journey takes 33 minutes. Tickets are purchased from the driver, and the fare is 100 CZK for adults, 50 CZK for children aged 6 to 15. Line AE stops at both terminals.

You can also use regular urban public transportation buses, specifically lines 100, 191, and 59. Line 100 runs to/from the Zličín stop, where you can connect to Metro Line B (yellow line) to reach the city center. Buses on line 191 run to/from the Na Knížecí stop, where you can also find Metro Line B (Anděl station). New trolleybus line 59 runs to/from the Nádraží Veleslavín stop, where you can access Metro Line A (green line). It replaced bus line 119.

Bus stops are located in front of the arrivals hall at both Terminal 1 and 2. Tickets can be purchased at the public transportation counter in the arrivals hall of Terminal 1 and 2 (7:00 AM to 10:00 PM), from vending machines in the arrivals hall of both terminals, or from vending machines at the bus stops. A ticket costs 30 CZK for a 30-minute ticket or 40 CZK for a 90-minute ticket.

Parking at Prague Airport

The most convenient parking solution for departures from Prague international airport is the covered parking lot PD HOLIDAY – a parking building located a 10-minute walk from both terminals. The best parking rates can be secured through online reservations. Right next to the parking building, there is a public transportation stop called U Hangáru, from which you can easily reach both terminals by bus. You can also utilize other parking buildings closer to the terminals (within a 3-minute walk).

For short-term parking for passenger or baggage drop-off and pick-up, there are outdoor parking lots: P1 EXPRESS (directly in front of T1) and P2 EXPRESS (on an elevated level in front of T2 – departures). If you park here for less than 15 minutes, parking is free. If you stay longer than 15 minutes, you will be required to pay 100 CZK for each started half-hour, including the first 30 minutes (from 15 to 30 minutes).
