Talmberk is a romantic ruin of a 13th-century Gothic castle located near Rataje nad Sázavou in Central Bohemia. Though only remnants of its walls and tower remain today, the site offers a peaceful atmosphere and scenic views of the surrounding countryside.
The castle gained renewed attention thanks to the video game Kingdom Come: Deliverance, where it is faithfully recreated as one of the main locations in the game's 1403 setting.
Talmberk lies in the scenic Posázaví region, known for its deep forests, meandering river valleys, and well-preserved medieval towns like Rataje nad Sázavou. The area is popular for hiking, cycling, and exploring Czech history off the beaten path.
