Chateau Vlašim

Originally a Gothic castle, in the early 17th century rebuilt into a Renaissance chateau, adapted in Baroque.

A Pseudo-Gothic entrance hall. An English park with Romantic buildings. Chateau interiors (a chapel, a theatre), an exposition of hunting and sport shooting. In the valley of the river Blatnice is the oldest natural park in the Czech republic, founded in 1775.

Visit this beautiful chateau which is still used as a residence by the descendants of the old Bohemian aristocratic family of Sternberg. The Baroque chateau was built in 1724 and is a prime example of a Baroque summer residence. The guided tour will show you around several rooms and you will see how noble families lived in centuries gone by. If you like the chateau, you can book an apartment there for a romantic getaway.
